At Ritual Coffee we are entering an exciting new phase of growth and are looking to build our commercial team. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with a focus on speciality coffee, the position will offer the opportunity for the right individual to grow into Head of Wholesale within 18 months and build their own sales team in the process.
Ritual’s current focus has been on independent business, however there is a varied customer base from owner operated to corporate multi-site organisations. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable managing long-term, positive relationships with our partners, from baristas right through to senior directors.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a proven track record of developing new prospects and growing wholesale business in line with the values and standards of Ritual Coffee. Working with the rest of the Ritual Coffee team this position gives the right individual a great opportunity to shape the sales strategy and development of Ritual Coffee.
The job will include but not limited to:
- Input, evolve and execute our sales strategy across all key verticals in the business.
- A hands on, proactive and autonomous approach to implementing the wholesale strategy.
- Qualify leads from inbound enquiries and hunt for outbound leads to convert into new customers
- Research prospects to understand needs and sell them on the benefits of our products and services
- Arranging and hosting sales meetings with new customers at a variety of locations and settings
- Keeping new business pipeline up to date, tracking all prospecting and lead management activities
- New business development across all hospitality and corporate sales opportunities.
- Being committed to ensuring an exceptional and consistent end-to-end experience for our wholesale customers.
- Working closely with our marketing team and contribute where required to any events, public. speaking, promotional opportunities for the brand.
- Working with our Head roaster and roastery team to understand commercial opportunities.
- Help identify key sales team and account management hires as business expands
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 3 years experience in a speciality coffee sales role
- You are results orientated and have a proven track record in delivering against sales targets and motivating a team
- Evidence of hospitality, corporate and food service sales
- You have a structured and organised approach to the week, with a proven ability to work autonomously
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate excellent commercial awareness with experience in developing commercial contracts for new wholesale customers.
