This special coffee was produced by the Shuar Family Production. The Shuar, the second largest Indigenous community in Ecuador, live in the upper Amazonian region of Ecuador. Mamak, meaning "mother" in Shuar, represents the connection between the land and life. Inspired by the richness of the Amazon and the strength of the Shuar women.
Our import partner, Caravela, has been working with the Shuar since 2022 to improve the quality of their production. We're pleased to now share this exceptional coffee, which has undergone fermentation in airtight tanks for 36 hours after being picked and dried for 18-25 days.
